My wife and I both worked full time. When Mrs. Stacie came over she not only watched the kids but also helped clean house. This extra step she took wasn't required but certainly helped out an overstressed and time short family like ourselves! She shared recipes for dinners and advice on working with the kids through stressful growing pains. very pleasant and personable! She was easy to talk to about pleasant and less that such subjects. She never took offense to anything and took working seriously. While she was watching the boys, it was her job that she executed with a high work ethic; attendance, reliability, flexibility, focus on the children, eager to help, easy to trust, responsible. She facilitated goodbyes with sending mommy to work while limiting heartbreak and fostered excitement when daddy came home. She always had the boys working on something fun, engaging and constructive. She even got the youngest to take a nap regularly! No small feat for a little boy who decided that while he still needed naps he didn't want them anymore! On the note of going above and beyond, she even came by on a day off! My eldest son is rambunctious and can get moody about change while the youngest is a drama queen with attachment to mommy issues. She came by on her day off about 2 weeks into working with us just to sit down and discuss the best way to work with my kids. We three came up with a plan that she then implemented the next time she watched them with very good results. During her service with us (about a month to a month and a half), my schedule shifted drastically due to work. She was understanding and never expressed that she was overwhelmed or upset and the shifting schedule. We eventually had to let her go simply because I lost my job and was able to stay home with the kids. The boys are sad to let her go.
