Growing up as the oldest of 5 sisters has taught me a substantial amount of responsibility and patience. I absolutely love having a big family, spending time with my sisters, and being able to set a positive example for them. With the youngest diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at a very young age, I have experienced not only dealing with constantly monitoring her condition, but also what it is like to care for a young child with a demanding medical situation. I am a currently an undergraduate psychology student at Saint Louis University and have taken courses in Child Development. I hope to one day turn my love and passion for kids into a career in Child Development and Clinical Psychology. I have experience working one on one for a full semester course as a peer mentor with mentally challenged children within my school district. I also have a lot Read more of experience working with the after school mentoring and tutoring program for underprivileged girls, Girls Inc. of Saint Louis, through my involvement in my sorority. I have spent many summers care-taking for young cousins, family friends, as well as families around the Saint Louis area, from taking children to sports practice to dropping off and picking up from school. My schedule and hours are very flexible this year, and I am great with last minute situations. I have experience preparing my own meals, helping with homework, and caring for both boys and girls, in which I love being around both! I have my own car at school so I am available to help out with any driving needed!
