I enjoy spending time with children. Their outlook on life is so innocent, yet they can be profound at times or just plain funny. I find it quite refreshing. I come from a large extended family. (I love telling people that I am the 27th grandchild out of 44 on my dad's side!) I have experience taking care of my first and second cousins. I have also experience teaching as a Sunday school teacher. These experiences have taught me how to engage with children and most of all, patience. I think that is essential. As adults, it is important to remember that children are still learning and growing and it is up to us to foster that curiosity in a nurturing environment.
