I started babysitting at 12 yrs old for family friend. I have learned a lot since that first date night. Sometimes its better to just take a bath if the diaper is too messy, some nights we can read 5 books before bed. Or you can never have too many hugs when you are sad, but sometimes we need our space as well. From being a live in nanny to a once in a while date night sitter I have worked with many different families with many different needs. I am CPR certified, I have worked with disabilities and "special needs" infants. From new born twins to a family of 10 children I have love them all. To say you can be a sitter or nanny without loving the family you work with is just not true. I have some knowledge of teaching sign language to infants and lots of potty training time. Homework is a must even when we do not want to. Sticking with the rutune usually makes it better for everyone.
