I started baby sitting in high school as a way to make extra money, then went to college for a Early Childhood Education Degree and minored in Child Psychology. I ran a daycare center for two years until my health deteriorated, after which I still provided part time care for friends and family, while also working with the Missouri Social Services as an emergency home. I am also the eldest of 16 grandchildren, with 10 nieces and nephews, all of whom I have helped care for time to time. I love children, the way they view the world. I enjoy letting them try new experiences and helping them in what they enjoy. My personal philosophy is to let a child try as many things as they can and the help nurture the ones they enjoy the most, while not limiting them to just one or two activities and hobbies. The Read more world is a big place, and everyone has a spot in it, you just have to find it.
