I love working with children and pets. I grew up helping care for my brother who has autism. I went into being a student aide in pre-k, junior high, elementary library, and special needs during high school. I also spent time in high school volunteering at the Lauderdale County Animal Shelter in Florence, AL. Once I went to college, I began volunteering with Camp Smile-A-Mile, where I work with children who have been diagnosed with cancer. I am also a camper due to battling Leukemia at a young age. I usually work with Camp-care, which is basically where I would watch the 0-5 years old campers to allow the older children and their parents to spend time with other campers and staff. I continue to volunteer with them until I am no longer able to. I hope to one day start a program with children battling cancer that aren't able Read more to attend camps like Smile-A-Mile. I am available most days, unless otherwise noted due my job or a class. Please contact me before setting up a date, so I can make sure I am well prepared.
