As a care taker I am responsible for recording data throughout my shift while assisting my clients with performing daily necessities and activities that they can't complete dependently. I take part in showing my clients how to take pride in their hygiene, cleaning, cooking breakfast, make them aware of what medications are taken throughout a 24 hour period, coaching the clients through simple tasks, look for jobs, abide by the rules at their work place, how to be respectful and responsible, letting them make their own grocery list or completing other important documents as a sense of independence to them, guide them through different recreational and knowledge activities. One patient that I care for is basically bed - ridden and I have to change and rotate her ever two hours; while also being Read more responsible for bed checks every fifteen minutes which applies to both individuals. I am familiar on how to use a Hoyer lift due to having a bed - ridden grandfather that I provide care for as well. Another patient that I provide care for is independent even though she is an amputee with neither of her legs. I encourage her to complete daily necessities dependently.
