Hi everyone! My name is Rachel, I'm a 35 year old professional with over 20 years experience as a babysitter/nanny. I hold a masters degree in social psychology and have worked in research for the last 8 years. I recently chose to change careers and am looking for occasional babysitting to help supplement my income. My childcare experience ranges from new born multiples to teenagers and large groups. In the past, I was the primary childcare provider at a church where I was responsible for planning lessons and keeping the children too young for Sunday School entertained. Additionally, I would supervise all the children on the playground and whenever there were special events. I also spent a year working with at-risk youth in low income areas in Florida as a tutor and mentor. So I have experience with structured literacy and math tutoring as well as simple homework assistance. I Read more enjoy arts and crafts, baking, reading, playing outside or going for walks. I really enjoy spending time with kids, I think they are hilarious and can be a lot of fun. I am looking for an occasional or semi regular position with a family (or families). I am available most nights and weekends but am flexible and happy to do my best to meet your needs. I am a non smoker, have my own transportation, and have first aid and CPR training.
