Hello! My name is Leighanna. I am 19 years old and currently attending Montana State University part time. I grew up in small town Kansas with a large family (10 siblings) and several pets. I moved to Bozeman fall of 2014 be begin college. My major is elementary education with a specialization in early childhood development. While I was in high school I took classes such as human growth and development and early childhood applications. In these classes I learned about children of all ages and their different needs. I also worked at a daycare after school my senior year in high school. This gave me the opportunity to work with several children from birth to age six. I mainly worked in the toddler room, but spent several hours in other rooms as well. This job helped me learn the ability of multitasking. I was in charge of five kids Read more by myself, so throughout the day I had to: be able to watch the kids, set up the table for lunch, help the younger children eat, clean, take kids to the restroom, change diapers, wash hands, and brush teeth. Then, at the end of the day I sanitized toys, vacuumed, cleaned restrooms, swept and mopped. I was certified in CPR in high school, however my certification did expire. I love working with children and hope that I will have the opportunity to help you and your family!
