I am 21 years old and originally from Kalispell, MT. I come from a big family and have always loved children. When I was 14 years old I was a nanny for 3 boys for a year. Growing up I always baby sat and had a lot of experience with children! For the past 3 years I have been working as an outreach coordinator in an after-school program for the at-risk youth of Hawaii with a non-profit humanitarian organization called Surfing The Nations. I've absolutely loved it. I've had the opportunity to build beautiful relationships with the low-income and less-fortunate families of Hawaii. Through our program we offer: one-on-one tutoring, character principles, art & dance lessons, swim & surfing lessons, skateboard lessons, and instilling the values that will cause these at-risk youth to thrive in their community. I've had the opportunity to travel to Bangladesh 2 times and Morocco over Read more the last 3 years with this organization. Using our motto, "surfers giving back" we've connected with local communities to give back in whatever way that looks like: through surf lessons, handing out donations to the poor, community service projects, visiting orphanages, implementing character and leadership principles in the youth, and much more! Being a full-time volunteer I have raised my own support for the last 3 years. This summer I will be moving back home (before I attend school in the fall) and would love to have a job where I can use my skills and passion!
