Being the second oldest of 9 siblings, I've been surrounded by children my whole life. Throughout my studies and career changes I have always been involved in tutoring, student teaching, and babysitting. Including, English 101 tutor at OSU, student teacher aid at Linden Mckinley High School, pre-school daycare teacher, and private tutoring. Teaching and taking care of children has always been something I've enjoyed and gained from. I graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor's in English Education and a minor in Art. Although I don't have a teaching license, I do have experience tutoring and I am comfortable tutoring ages preschool-middle school most subjects and any age for English. I am happy to negotiate combining tutor and childcare services if necessary. When caring for children I enjoy hands-on activities, outdoor activities, lots of reading, and using the imagination through art and make-believe. I believe electronics are important, Read more but that there should be limitations in order to support fine motor skills, communication and social skills, and creativity. It is important to me to individualize care for children based on the needs of the child and the parents. I am humored to say I’m called Mary Poppins and the baby whisperer by some of the families I work with:) I am comfortable caring for children of all ages. The most children I've watched alone in one sitting were two 18 month old twins, a 2 year old, a 5 year old, and two 6 years olds. This was tough, but manageable. I am most comfortable with 3-4 children depending on the age group. I am laid back and easy to work with. I only have one request. I value the importance of nutrition and pack a lunchbox everywhere I go in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle! I respect other's health choices and only expect that my lifestyle choices be respected in return. I recently moved to Montana and I am looking to pick-up occasional babysitting as I pursue a passion in holistic skincare and health and learn the ropes of an entrepreneur. I loved being apart of each of the families I have helped and would love to be a part of yours. I would be happy to provide you with references upon request!
