Hello! I am looking for a part time babysitting position and this one caught my eye, here is some information about me! About me: I absolutely love babysitting and enjoy spending time with children. I want to be a mother myself one day with a handful of children. As a person, I am responsible, reliable, loving, and honest. I have many years of babysitting experience. I am currently 25 years old and am saving up to get my Masters degree. I am also a Certified Nurse Assistant and have a CPR certification. Safety is a number one priority for me when caring for children. I have a safe and reliable vehicle and a clean driving record. I do not smoke and I am comfortable with pets. I enjoy baking, cooking, cleaning, and organizing and would love to help out with any of these tasks (or whatever household chores are needed). I have babysat for many families and cared for children of all ages, from 3 months to 12 years of age. I also worked in a daycare for 3 years, looking after as many as 12 children at a time. I worked for a family for a year most days of the week watching their two children who were 1 and 3 years of age at the time, I enjoyed it so much but the family moved away. I have also been a nanny for the past six months for a family with a four year old boy as well as another family with a ten month old. We hired Christian to help as a long-term nanny for our children. She interviewed okay and was amiable when helping us for two days on Thursday and Friday. By Sunday she was calling off for Monday shift, then the entire week leaving us scrambling to find coverage that we had trusted her to provide. The only explanation she gave was that, undisclosed, she was supposedly moving and didn't know it was so hard and needed to call off with us. In interview she said her school schedule was once a month, first week, Thursday and Friday she needed off to go to school in the mountains. Well, apparently Mountain School isn't very considerate towards their students because she began about how her schedule had changed dramatically from two days a month to everyday a month for many hours. When we questioned her about the abruptness of all these changes and why she didn't choose to communicate about them, she merely provided us with "I didn't know." Christian text briefly wanting to provide some coverage until mountain school started, but she ended up just not responding to us, even when we checked if she was planning on continuing with us. There seems to be a whole lot of "not knowing" going on with Christian and seems to go along with "not being responsibile" and "not caring" too. If you talk to her references they'll blow some smoke at you but that wasn't the person we met. We have no interest in maligning Christian, just shocked by her behavior, saddened to be deceived, and we would like to not have any other family treated this way by her. It's difficult enough finding help without frivolous people like Christian turning child care into a child's game. We would suggest caution with this one.
