I am an Early Childhood Educator with a Bachelors of Science in Family and Child Sciences. It was through my undergraduate work that I truly began to understand the foundation that the early years and adolescence play in one's life. In 2013, I began my Masters program in New York City at Bank Street College of Education. I received my dual Masters of Science degree in Early Childhood Education: General and Special Education in the summer of 2016. Upon completing my program, I made the most wonderful decision to move to Asheville and further immerse myself in the mountains and my love for the outdoors. I believe in the importance of hands-on experiences, mindful communication and thoughtful listening to the needs and desires of children. I am a local Buncombe County Kindergarten Teacher, as well as teach yoga and meditation in my spare time. My classroom teaching experiences range from infants/toddlers to 2nd grade. I am excited and energized by the idea to spend time with children of all ages, helping them work through the complexities of being a person with thoughts and emotions in a largely social world.
