Hello! I'm looking for babysitting opportunities either after school (locals) or for date nights (both locals and tourists.) My husband and I recently moved to Asheville from Chicago, and we live in the Montford neighborhood. I work full-time during the day (9am-5pm), and I have a NC driver's license. I grew up in Dallas, attended Indiana University for undergrad, spent two years in the Peace Corps in Kenya, served for a year in AmeriCorps, attended University of Chicago for my Masters in Social Work, and then spent six years working in Chicago schools as a school social worker. A few years ago, I made the transition to the non-profit sector and now work for Rotary International as a telecommuter out of my home in Asheville. I have been babysitting on-and-off throughout my life since I was 13 years old. To me, babysitting is more than just parking the kiddos in Read more front of a screen. I like to interact with children and nurture their skills and interests. Thank you!

Lindsay did an excellent job sitting for our 3 month old. She arrived on time and was attentive when learning all the details about the baby (it was our first time using a sitter). The baby was fussing when Lindsay arrived and she was not flustered or nervous. She sent a message and photo while we were gone to let us know everything was going well. We came home to a rested and happy baby. I would highly recommend her for other families in the neighborhood.

Lindsay was great! After only one night, I would definitely recommend her and look forward to having her sit for us again.
