I started babysitting at age 13 and have always loved kids. I am one who feels very comfortable caring for, entertaining, challenging, and providing for children. I love engaging with and learning from the perspective of children- their young minds are often fascinating. I was a live-in nanny with one family for six+ years. When I began, I cared for one eight month old and by the time I moved away there were three boys ages seven, five, and three. My responsibilities varied over the years but ranged from full-time care, shuttling them to school, preparing and feeding meals, helping with homework, entertaining and playing inside and outside, teaching arts, crafts, and drawing, cleaning, bath time and bed time, etc. Along with that experience I have been a short term babysitter with many different families with kids of various ages. I believe that children should be approached with respect, kindness, Read more and patience. My interest in nannying is grounded in believing that children will hugely impact the future and those involved in their lives will hugely impact them. I am passionate about having a positive and spirited impact on those that I get to know- and I always meet someone with the expectation that they will in some way impact me.
