Hello friends, my name is Melissa and I have recently moved here from Vermont. Although all of my babysitting experience has come from babysitting for my sibling's kids, I have been doing it consistently since I was 13 years old. I have taken care of small babies as well as my niece who is now 10 years old. Outside of babysitting, my previous job that I did for a year was working with kids with anywhere from mild to high levels of behavioral issues. This was a very difficult job but ultimately was the most rewarding job I have ever had. I learned a lot of patience here because sometimes the kids would make it very difficult to be productive with them, but it was all worth it for the times that we would have great days where they would learn life skills and have fun. I love the outdoors, Read more and I have plenty to teach any kiddos that want to soak up some knowledge. I have a lot of experience in the outdoors, including a previous certification for Level 1 Ropes Course Practitioner, a Project Wild Certification, as well as a Wilderness First Responder Certification, which includes CPR and allows for the injection of Epinephrine pens. I also have experience pet sitting, including cats, dogs, and a horse. One dog that I watched has Diabetes and Kushings Disease, so I would test his blood sugar and administer his insulin shot twice daily, and administer his pills for Kushings every night.
