I started babysitting nearly seven years ago, and in total, have about three years of full-time nanny experience. I have worked with a variety of ages, from 3-month old babies to school-aged children. I absolutely love kids and I love helping others, which has inspired me to pursue a degree in nursing. I have completed my first semester of nursing school during which I learned about core concepts such as nutrition, psychosocial health, tissue integrity, vital signs, immunity/infection, and safety across the lifespan. I also went through two clinical rotations in my first semester including a nursing home and mother/baby unit in the hospital. Through countless labs, simulations, and clinicals, I have gained valuable nursing skills that I believe will greatly benefit me as a nanny. I am also BLS (basic life support) certified. In addition to my years of nannying and my experience in nursing school, I've recently started Read more working in home health care where I've been exposed to a variety of health needs. Through my experiences, I've worked with all ages but can still say that I enjoy working with kids the most. I hope to continue working as a nanny in the summers between school until I graduate and can ideally start working in a pediatric hospital. I also love animals (dog walking) and cooking, and I am happy to do any light housekeeping or errands as needed.
