My name is Luwam Debru at the age of five my parents had me watch my two younger siblings while they worked to support us and get us out of poverty. I followed my parents orders, and microwaved the food my mom left. I had to grow up faster than most children. Over the years my parents had three more kids and I have been babysitting them my whole life. Being an immigrant in America is very hard, especially when you dont have anyone to help you. Seeing my parents struggle made me very responsible very quickly. I learned how to deal with kids during their tantrums, how to cook, clean, and basically raise children. I love kids very much and working with them is always fun! Now I am a sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill and I would love to have a babysitting job while in school!
