Greetings! My name is Nicole, a seasoned elementary and middle school educator from Denver, Colorado! I recently relocated to Chapel Hill to marry my husband, John. I am an adopted Carolina fan, an avid reader, an adventurous hiker and explorer, and am passionate about kids! I have spent five years as a classroom teacher (teaching 4th-8th graders) and one year working for an autism treatment center for 4 and 5 years olds. I have extensive training in applied behavior analysis as it is used to treat patients with autism spectrum disorder! I love kids- their energy, their passion, their ingenuity. Moreover, I love being there when kids have an ah-ha moment, when that lightbulb in their minds turn on, and their eyes light up with understanding. It's why I love teaching and working with kids.
