I am currently seeking nannying/babysitting jobs that are part-time, and/or may include pick-ups/drop-offs at school. My weekend flexibility is more than than my weekly flexibility as I have a job and am only free during early mornings, midday (during lunch), and evenings after 5:30 p.m. As a recent graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, I am familiar with the Triangle area. By working with various organizations through school such as TABLE, Habitat for Humanity, and the Salvation Army of Durham, I have had the pleasure of working with children of all ages. My mother is a third grade teacher and whenever I have the chance to go home, I frequently help her out in the classroom with various activities such as tutoring, or test practice. I am very involved in my church, and when I find the time, I act as a "sidekick" to my father who is a well-known volunteer with Read more "Ride to Recovery" (a program geared toward fueling healthy recovery for our nation's heroes) and the "Wounded Warriors" organization (a veterans service organization that provide a wide array of programs for any wounded veterans after 9/11). I have been blessed with the opportunity to attend UNC and recognize the importance of having a strong, consistent educational background. As an English/Journalism double major, I would be more than willing to practice reading and writing exercises with whomever I may work with, as well as help with homework activities and provide additional tutoring if needed. I am the oldest of two, and jump at any opportunity to aid my younger brother (when he allows me to help) in becoming more successful in school. Being a role model for him is very important to me, and I would love to set an example for other younger children. I am also very active and love nature, and would not hesitate to share this love with little ones! As a former babysitter, I know that if you love interacting with, teaching, and caring for children, most babysitting jobs come naturally and are stress-free! This is the kind of job I am currently in pursuit of, and I hope that my qualifications meet the needs of a wonderful family.
