My babysitting experience began as an older sister caring for her younger sister after school. Initially for short periods of time and gradually became longer as my parents recognized my growth in being responsible for longer periods of time. While in high school, I participated in a program teaching elementary students French. Caring for my younger sister provided adequate training for me to then provide babysitting services throughout my four year college career at Queens College, now Queens University while in Charlotte as a full-time student. I was with one family for over 3 years of my college career and continued for a period of time after graduating. After graduating from Queens, I acquired first aid, CPR, and AED training through Central Piedmont Community College. During a self defense class at Central Piedmont Community College, I kept a co-worker from choking by performing the Heimlich maneuver on her.
