I grew up in a small farm community in western Kansas. In my late teens I traveled to 16 difference countries helping and serving children around the world. From a daycare center in Bolivia to children in the Philippines. My two pervious childcare experiences are: 1) Babysitting for a dear lady in my hometown for 2+ years. Besides working for her and her husbands seasonal hunting lodge business for three winter seasons, I would watch their three children when they would be out. My boss worked from home, so I'd also come and watch her youngest when needed. Those three children became like the little siblings I never had, but always wanted. Our activities ranged from painting, reading, lots of playing outside, board games, toys, and only occasionally a few tv shows pr-approved by their mother. 2) Living in my fiancés (now husband!!) parents home here in Charlotte for 7 Read more months last year. He is the eldest of 8 children so it is quite the houseful! I loved it though. I'd daily play with his youngest sister. We'd do everything from board games, puppet shows, walks/bike rides, reading, building blanket tents, tea parties, and drawing. I also helped around the house with meals, daily kitchen clean up and any errands the needed to be done. Even though I'm not ready to start my own family quite yet, it is the desire of my heart to do so in the coming years. Until then, I would be honored to be a part of your family and be of service to you and your children. I took a certified CPR class back in high school, but will be more then happy to take a current up to date one. I will also be more then willing to go through any and all background checks. I have a perfect driving record and have never been charged for anything. I've also never smoked. I absolutely adore dogs, cats, and any furry little creatures. Snakes are a deal breaker though. I consider myself a quick learner and take initiative when I see things that need to be done. If your kitchen is a mess, it'll be clean before you get home! I love staying busy, so the more you give me to do, the happier I am.
