When I babysit for a family it is a pleasure to really get to know the kids and they become kind of like my extended family. I've been babysitting infants and toddlers all throughout high school and college. Currently, I am a 1 L student at Charlotte Law, and I've decided to take a semester and the summer off from law school to take a breather and reconnect with the community at large again. I think I love babysitting because it comes so natural to me. Whether its playing with legos for three hours, playing tag in the neighborhood, or having a movie night its just so much fun to be a kid! I love arts and crafts, swimming, movies, logic puzzles, being outside and going to the park, and role playing. I've spent so much of my life reading and studying so maybe that’s why I love being outside Read more so much now. I do love to play, but I have another, more nurturing side which I get from my mother. I love to cook and clean, and open my arms when a child is in need…It is all very therapeutic for me. Kids are pretty amazing miniature human beings. They’re honest, they’re affectionate, and despite their bad rap for being stubborn, they help me get out of my own head for a while and they remind me what really matters: love and compassion. Taking care of another person would be a great exercise for my transition in life right now.
