I'm a 54 year old mother of two and grandmother of a 16 year old. I'm new to Charlotte. My husband and I sold our home in Philadelphia and bought a home here about a year ago. (I've always wanted to live in the Carolinas) I do have some college and was working toward a nursing degree when the sale of my home was finalized. I have no "formal babysitting training" if there is such a thing. My experience is in that I raised my own children (one daughter is a schoolteacher, the other a tax preparer, and my grandchild is a straight A high school student preparing for college). I also babysat family's children as well as neighbors'' and ran a very small babysitting "business" I enjoy children (especially when they're little) and miss loving and caring for them. I believe as much in allowing a child to have Read more freedom of expression as in understanding boundaries. Watching a child grow and blossom is a Blessing that should never be taken for granted. My own "children" are still back in Pennsylvania. My husband is now retired and I'm now trying to re-establish my small, at home sewing business. We lead a simple, quiet life. I love to garden. We eat wholesome, organically raised food (yet I don't try to force it down anyone else's throat, so to speak). We have a cat and a turtle. We watch documentaries and I'm a sci-if fan. Lemme see, what else... Most importantly, I'll take excellent care of your little one and will keep him/her safe, comfortable, and happily engaged. I'll do my best to help him/her grow. I'm clean in thought, word, and deed and will impart no values other than your own to your child.
