Hello! I am an experienced elementary teacher and nanny who just moved to Charlotte. I am hoping to find a flexible, part-time babysitting position, so that I can spend time with my husband when he is not working his unpredictable hours. I am hoping to find a family that I can work with one to three days per week. For the past four years, I taught 2nd grade and 4th grade. I also co-sponsored a service-oriented club at my school. Throughout the school year and over summer breaks, I supervised two boys, ages 9 and 13. I worked for their family for four summers. I also occasionally babysat a 6mo old when his parents had conflicting schedules. While I obtained my Master's Degree in Elementary Education, I occasionally babysat for families in my neighborhood who had children ranging from 8mo to 18mo. The older brother was on the Autism spectrum, had sensory processing disorder, as well as a communication and speech delay. I worked closely with his Occupational Therapist and facilitated functional play between him and his younger sister. We loved to take trips to the park, the library, the children's museum, and dance classes.
