Hello, My name is Caylan Callahan. I currently work for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, as a special education teacher assistant.I have been working in the early childcare field for six years now. I thoroughly enjoy teaching children and learning from them as well. Recently I was a nanny for about six months while I was getting through the last semester of college. I attended Rowan Cabarrus Community College. While here I received my degree in early childhood education and also another associates degree in general education. While at RCCC I also received an early childhood certificate also .Through school I have learned so much about children, I also did two practicum studies at primrose schools. I worked at Primrose schools for two years and as I mentioned did my student teaching there. I also will be continuing my education at UNCG. At RCCC I was inducted into the National Leadership and Read more Honors Society which is for holding a GPA higher then 3.0 my current GPA Is 3.4. As far as early childhood I'm CPR certified, SIDS Certified and first aid. I feel that when working with children and parents you have to be a good role model. I believe the roles that would uphold me to be a good role model are as follows: Demonstrate confidence and leadership, Not afraid to be unique, shows respect and concern for others, team player, being knowledgeable and well rounded.
