Just past ten- years- old myself, I sat with my five cousins when my aunt and uncle went out. They circled close to me as I told them story after story. These were my stories made up just for these darling children. In high school, I sat with another cousin, an infant, who was the most darling child and full of joy. Then I sat with her and her brother. They had a grand time tackling me. As an adult, I was the only one in the church nursery rotation that played games with the children. Childhood development is a wonderfully fascinating process. My own grandchildren were typically rambunctious, curious, and willful.
