I'm a recent graduate from University of California Santa Cruz (age 23) with a B.S in Neuroscience and a B.A. in Psychology. I am currently employed at the Duke Center for epidemiology as a neuroscience researcher in an EEG lab. I work with autistic and typically developing children, making them comfortable while they participate in experiments. I have 4 younger siblings (3 boys and 2 girls) so I am experienced with children of all ages. One of my brothers has severe autism so I am knowledge of special needs in the home setting. Additionally, I have volunteered with children in the community extensively. I've mentored girls in group homes, assisted in a Special Education class, and taught after school empowerment groups.

Sam was sitting for us twice a week for our 1 year old daughter (also named Sam) for about 6 months. She always took great care of our daughter and always had fun things to play with her. She would cook her favorite breakfast in the morning. Sam was always very excited to see her. Ultimately she had to leave because the commute was too far and we are sad to see her go. Any family would be lucky to have Sam sit for them.
