Hello! My name is Alysha. I am 26 years old, and a Junior at Averett University in Danville, VA. I will be graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in accounting and finance. I have worked in customer service for the past 7 years, and have maintained a full-time schedule as both a student and an employee. As I have continued to advance in my education the demands of my courses have increased tremendously. Thus, I have decided to return to my “roots” as a caregiver for children and animals. I grew up in Waialua, Hawaii where I first began to babysit at the age of twelve. My friend and I created and maintained our own version of "The Babysitters Club". My mother was a Vet Tech for a local Veterinarian, and a breeder of pure bred Pomeranians for many years. My childhood consisted of raising, training, and rescuing animals in need. From abandoned baby rabbits to injured squirrels; I have attempted to save them all! Currently, I foster animals for the ASPCA and volunteer in my spare time. I assist residents in my community with pet care, especially those older in age who struggle with bathing and trimming the nails of their animals. I have a younger sibling in the fourth grade at Westover Christian Academy. I provide transportation to and from school when needed, assist with homework, and watch both her and her friends for playdates and sleepovers. I come from a large family, and was raised to be nurturing, driven, and a master of time management! I am a natural born caregiver. I am responsible, dependable, and compassionate. I have a welcoming and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude. I am extremely studious, and will happily provide tutoring and assistance with homework and studying. I own my own vehicle, and can provide safe and reliable transportation. I have a tremendous amount of experience with children and healthcare in general. Prior to discovering my passion for business, I was a student in a pre-med program. I completed an internship with Memorial Hospital, received a certification in Phlebotomy as well as my CPR certification. I am flexible, willing to travel outside of my general location, and will provide the best care your children and/or animals.
