Enjoy being a 66 year old grandmother of many, a mother of five and now an empty nester with family too far away. I miss the fingerprints on the glass, sharing of a meal, the spills on the floor, the excitement of a bird singing, an airplane flying over, the smiles, laughter and tears that can only come from a child. One of my children was diagnosed with type one juvenile diabetes at age two. With that event, I became intimately acquainted to a whole to new unfamiliar world. It changed my view of life and eventually decided that I would volunteer or work part time rather than full employment. Volunteered with preschoolers to adults in church programs, school programs and summer medical camps where I learn CPR. In addition, worked as a substitute teacher in the largest school system in NC for elementary, middle and high school, in regular, Read more gifted and exception classes. I have a BS in accounting and taught a few business classes. Enjoy a little cooking, cleaning and sewing. Might say that I'm a Jewel of “all trades and a master of none.”
