Hello! My name is Stephanie, and I am currently a sophomore at East Carolina University. I plan on pursuing my master's degree in occupational therapy, specializing in pediatrics. I have worked in my church's nursery room (infant-2 years old) for the past seven years, and babysit for numerous families (ages anywhere from two months to 13 years old) back at home in Shelby, NC. This past summer, I worked as a chaperone for six girls, either 12 or 13 years old, in New York City for the Joffrey Ballet School Summer Dance Intensive, where the girls all lived with me, and were my responsibility at all times for six weeks, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I was hired for this position out of more than 1,500 other applicants. I have cared for children (their ages were between six and 12) at YMCA summer camps, as well as Read more other local camps through my dance studio (ages between 3 and 13). In addition, I have a reliable car, a clean driving record, and a valid North Carolina license. In addition, I am also First Aid and CPR/AED certified. I began to babysit when I was 12 years old, and loved working with kids so much that I decided to continue to do so in college! When I babysit, I love to promote engaging, creative activities. I play WITH the kids, instead of giving them a toy to play with. I delight in working with infants and children, and do my best to be a positive influence and role model in their lives!
