I am a second year student at East Carolina University, studying Family and Community Services, as well as Child Development. I have always loved children, even as a young child I knew that I wanted to grow up and work with children. I have been babysitting since I was twelve years old. My mother is a third grade teacher, and I am very involved in my church community in Greensboro (my hometown), which gave me many opportunities. After my sophomore year of high school, I became a summer nanny for two girls who were between the ages of seven and eleven during the years I nannied for them. Currently, I am a nanny for a boy on the autism spectrum for the summer. I am a Red Cross certified babysitter, and I am First Aid and CPR certified as well. I have babysat children from the ages of 9 months Read more up to twelve years. In addition to this experience, for my coursework I have completed more than fifteen hours of assisting and observing infant, toddler, and pre-school classrooms at a five star child care center. I very much enjoy working with children of all ages, and I hope to continue working with children as a career.
