My sitting experience goes back to when I was eight and my parents left me in charge of my four brothers from time to time, as I was always a natural nanny type! Started evening sitting jobs for neighborhood children at age 10. Since then, I have had numerous nanny jobs ranging from infant care all the way up to early teen, and a range of special needs clients of all ages. I was employed at the Glen Ellen State Hospital for adult special needs clients as an assistant teacher. My duties included trained client position transfers and creating stimulating curriculums based on their individualized abilities and interests and preferred stimulus! My last job I worked at the Jr. Club Daycare Department of the Sonoma Parkpoint Health Club, in California, 2015. Duties included guided projects and active play with children. I was offered a supervisory position after only a year there but eventually I had to step down from that position for several reasons. I was in third trimester for my second child, My son Darwin, 3, (I have a 7 year old daughter Ellanor) my husband of late, had gotten a stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis and the California wildfires burnt down our house prompting the move back to North Carolina, I have been my husband and my children's care taker since then. I am ready to get back into child rearing and imaginitive play. I have a very very child friendly house ( I could seriously start a Waldorf daycare here!!) And would prefer to watch children in my own home as I would have my own children with me as well. This won't be ideal for everyone, but for the right lucky family, your littles are going to get great care and stimulation. We have 3 sweet cats ( who have grown up with grabby children, so they are patient, and a sweet old dog Princess Poppy who is good at flopping about here or there!!) I can pick them up, I am happy to facilitate any remote learning as well!
