I am currently a college student studying to work with children through physical therapy or animal rehab. I have always loved the idea of working with kids because in most ways I feel like I understand them better than adults. I have always been an older child in my family. I'm an older sister and an older cousin and with that comes a lot of learning how to get along best with children. I still go to family get togethers eager to get out the coloring books, play with barbies, or race "Hot Wheels." During high school I was extremely dedicated to horseback riding and taking care of my horses needs so I didn't babysit for families other than my own. However, I still gained a lot of experience with them. Once while babysitting, the kids were so nervous being without their parents that in order to distract them I Read more hid their toys around the house and created a treasure map for them to follow. These experiences among others showed me how to be creative, entertaining, and quick on my feet. I am CPR certified, I am willing to do light housework, make snacks or cook meals, I've grown up with many pets so I am more than happy to take care of any animals. I think this would be a great opportunity for me as a college student to obtain more experience in order to someday work with children.
