I am 56 year old mother with lots of experience with children. I stayed home while my two children were young and became very involved in their lives...especially when they started school. I volunteered in their schools & extracurricular activities...helping other children as well. I mentored those less fortunate by becoming a reading buddy. I loved the positive influence I had on them! I became a grade mother for both my kids classes, went on many field trips, substituted for teachers when needed, and much more. My presence did not stop as they got older. I was a taxi service full of kids in my mini van, making it possible for those whose parents worked outside the home and unable to take them. I eventually became a band, dance, and cheerleading mom that kept me on the road often. I now have 2 grandchildren who live nearby and know how loved & important they are. My children are now independent adults & the grands are just beginning school, so I would love to extend my love for helping other parents & children now!!
