Heyo! I'm Amanda! I'm a 30 year old stay at home mom to two children; P and K (not their full names, you know how the privacy stuff goes!). P is 2.5 years old, and is in Preschool two days a week (T/TH) and K is in kindergarten here in Leland, at Belville Elementary. Before having Ka, I completed my BA in Psychology, minor in Child Development and worked in the mental health field with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. I spent years working with adults and children in helping integrate them into the community by providing support, encouragement and community resources. After having my daughter, I spent the following 5 years nannying children in my home. Most of the kids who have came into our home, have become family; one little girl staying with us for over 3 years. I have experience with infants, all the way up to Read more adolescents. I am well versed in many different types of learning styles, have a love for playing outdoors with the kids (we have a fenced in backyard with a trampoline and swing set) and am a HUGE proponent of the arts. My knowledge, experience and education lends me to be a perfect babysitter for both neurotypical & neurodiverse kiddos! Ideally I'm looking for some children to keep/potentially pick up from school OR preschool, and keep until the parents get off of work. I'd like to bring them to my own, which is dog friendly.
