From the time I was 12 years old I helped my sister with her children. When I met my husband and we married I cared for my sisters 5 children Mon-Fri. The children would go home on weekends. Their ages by then were 2,3,4,7, and 8. I also had two children of my own ages 2 and 6 weeks. I was their main caregiver until the oldest turned 15. Once my children were grown I returned to college to receive my degree as a certified Medical Assistant. While in college I worked as a Teaching Assistant for Anatomy and Physiology. After graduation I took a position in a physicians office where I have worked for the last 3 years. My oldest daughter is now married and has two daughters of her own. She is in college Mon-Wed and will graduate in October. Her husband works full time and is also Read more in college. Finances are tight for them and they are no longer able to afford child care so I have decided to leave my position and stay home to care for my beautiful granddaughters Sophia age 2 and Delilah 6 months so they can finish their educations. I have an associate degree in applied science for being a certified Medical Assistant and graduated with a 4.2 grade point average, high honors , and sigma cum laude. I was on the Deans list every semester. I was previously certified as a CNA, EMT, and a EMT intermediate. Both my children were born with asthma so I decided to take the EMT and EMT-I classes to know how to care for them in a emergency. Since taking care of my grandchildren I have realized how much I love and miss caring for and teaching children. I have cared for children who have severe illness in my former position and know the struggles parents face. I know how to handle situations that most people panic in. I am available Anytime Thursday-Sunday. And anytime after 6:30 pm Mon-Wed. Once my daughter graduates my availability will be wide open. I look forward to meeting you.
