Hello! Here is a little bit about myself, including my experience :) I was born with a ventricular septal defect, which means that I have a hole in my ventricle wall. It caused a lot of problems growing up and I always admired how the hospital team interacted and took care of me. It can be a scary part of your life and they really set a positive environment for me. This is what really sparked my interest in becoming a pediatric cardiologist nurse. I have always had a passion for working with children and if I can help like the team took care of me, I will have made it in life. They have their whole lives ahead of them and I want to be apart of that as well. So, I am currently enrolled in college. I have one more year left and I will finish with a Read more Bachelors of Science in nursing. I am one step closer to my goal. As for experience, ever since I turned age 13, I have had various babysitting jobs that occurred off and on over the years. During that time my main jobs occurred with my dad's coworkers when they needed help. I babysat a close family friend from age 7 to about 13. In high school for 2 years I helped volunteer at the hospital's, Early Learning Center, and helped mentor and watch over preschool children. Most recently, I was a nanny for about a year with a family who had 3 children aged 2, 4, and 6. I, also, have two family members aged 2 and 10 that I am with frequently and help occasionally with babysitting. My certifications and training/ work experience are as follows: I have been CPR certified since 2012 and I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) since 2016. I became CPR certified originally because I became a lifeguard for 4 years. I taught swimming lessons as well. Once I entered college, I became a CNA and I have had two CNA jobs. One was at a facility where the residents had traumatic brain injuries and the other was at a rehab facility. On average, I was responsible for 13-20 residents/patients every shift, varying in age helping them with their activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding, etc.
