Hello, my name is Tia Jackson. I have located your ad off of indeed and see that you are looking for a reliable, fun, and energetic person. I believe I could be the person you are seeking. I have over ten years experience as a childcare provider; this includes working with children of all ages and various backgrounds. Additionally, I have worked with at-risk youth. My career began by working as a youth counselor/nanny at the Fulton Family YMCA. I tutored and planned age appropriate activities for children ranging in age from 5-12. After relocating, I then was employed at a five-star facility as a toddler teacher/floater. I was employed with that company for 5 and half years. I assisted teachers with daily lessons and activities. While employed, I established connections with not only the parents but the children as well. Often I would babysit for multiple families outside the Read more facility during the weekend. After much consideration, I choose to leave the daycare setting to work as a Teacher Assistant within the Durham Public School System. Since joining DPS, I have established connections with staff, parents, and students. I have even won employee of the month within the first three months of employment. Some of my daily tasks include assisting the lead teacher with activities, teaching North Carolina common core standards and light clerical work. Also, I create quite games for rainy days and always make sure to keep a smile on my student's faces. I feel I would be a great candidate for the position if hired.
