I helped raise 6 step kids and grew up babysitting in high school and college. I was also a police officer and feel that I learned a great deal about safety during those 18 years. I also volunteered at a cerebal palsy center when I was a teenager and four of my friends at church growing up had cystic fibrosis. At 13, I worked full time during the summer volunteering on the pediatric ward at the hospital.
