I grew up in Boone and attended Lees McRae graduating with a degree in biology and a concentration in wildlife rehabilitation. The past 6 1/2 years I have worked in the animal habitats at Grandfather Mountain and enjoyed every bit of it. However, I am entering a new phase in my life with my almost 3 month old baby boy. My priority now is to stay home and nurture him and potentially other children as well. I have grown up babysitting since the age of 7, for small amounts of time, and then extending that time to as long as overnight as I got older. Children develop so quickly from birth to 5 years of age and I feel it is important to have more one on one contact with a caregiver during such a monumental time. I enjoy spending as much time as possible outside and feel this is Read more extremely important for children as well. I can begin mid September but would prefer to start the end of September or early November to enjoy a little more time with just my little one.
