    I have always had a passion for working and caring for children, inspiring my career path to obtain my Occupational Therapy license. My goal is to work with special needs children to help enhance and facilitate them through life. I have held nannying and babysitting positions since I was 14 years old providing 19 years of experience. I began babysitting and taking on smaller jobs when I was a teenager. I sat for my nephew, who was diagnosed on the autism spectrum at the age of 2. Since then, I have cared for children of all abilities allowing me to learn so much and connect with each child in my care in a unique way.  I have nannied/babysat for infants as young as several weeks old to teens as old as 15. To me, encouraging children’s learning and development is a crucial requirement to providing childcare. In my Read more past experience, encouraging imaginative play, setting up informative games, even directing them on a moral level (such as manners and sharing) are activities that can’t be neglected. To children, everything is a “game” of some sort. They need to be fueled in the right direction which requires a guardian that understands the balance between games and development. It is important for me to provide a stable, trustworthy connection with children that I care for in order to support their development and well-being.
