I have a BSW (bachelor's degree in social work) and currently work 45 hours a week with individuals' with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing one-on-one direct service care in their homes as well as in the community. I am trained in CPR and first-aid through my employer, A Small Miracle. I became a caregiver in order to continue my calling to help people where they need me, as my schedule allows. I love my job because I get to be a part of the lives of individuals' and families' that need extra care here and there. I love to offer them a different outlook on each day, and get to encourage them to look at each day as an adventure instead of a challenge.
