I am a provider located in Downtown Raleigh's Oakwood neighborhood. I am very close to Glenwood South, Peace College, and many downtown businesses! I am currently home with my 5 year old and 9yr old daughters. They will both be going back to school at the end of July. I also care for a 9month old baby girl. I am looking for only one more part time or occasional child to join us. I am open to any age. I am able to provide excellent references. We will spend our days playing inside and outside. We will go to the area museums and parks often. We will also do arts and crafts, reading, free play, and learning activities. I believe in positive, peaceful parenting. The children are encouraged and rewarded for positive behavior instead of shunned and disciplined for negative. I believe in offering lots of love and attention! I Read more am breastmilk feeding, and cloth diapering friendly!! I look forward to finding the perfect match with a new family!

Sent me the following very patronizing message when I let her know that I was looking for someone who would not be bringing their child into our home. Thank you for letting me know. It's a shame the amount of people that pass by awesome nannies, with years of experience, that could provide your son with the care he needs and then some, just because I care enough about my own children to want to be with them. The knowledge, care, and commitment I could make to your family should be more important then anything else. Yet people refuse to even call references to see how capable I am. Did you know that children and infants around older children reach milestones sooner? The advantages to a nanny having an older child are incredible. Your son would be exposed to so many positive situations and learn so much. Yet, so many people shoot it down without even meeting the nanny. It really is a shame. I practice positive, attachment parenting and can assure you that through this practice and my experience I could provide much better care then someone who believes in traditional parenting (such as letting your son cry because they are misinformed that if they go to him they will spoil him, when I have a 30second rule, the baby will be in my arms within 30seconds of crying.) Also, my daughter will be attending preschool soon, leaving your son 3hrs of one on one. Thank you for not taking the time to meet me, to see if I truley was the nanny for you. KIM
