Hi! My name is Heather and I am a former preschool teacher/director and am a former private nanny. I am currently a preschool photographer who is looking for a more long-term job. Currently my job only offers a schedule of 6 months a year and needless to say, even though I enjoy my work, I need a job that will allow me to work 12 months a year. As a preschool teacher/director, I not only attended to the everyday needs of the children, I also developed and followed through with teaching my own lesson plans. I would also make individual lesson plans based on the ages and abilities of each child in my care. I would also plan art and science lessons as well. The director part of my job called for me to hold parent conferences, keep state paperwork up to date and collect tuition. I would also develop lesson plans and follow through teaching the children in my care to prepare them for kindergarten . My duties also were to do housekeeping (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, dishes, laundry, trash removal, etc.), run errands (UPS, grocery store, child's dr. appointments, etc.) and to start dinner. I have my NC Early Childhood teaching credentials, have been trained in First Aid and CPR, ITS-SIDS (to prevent SIDS) and attended numerous training classes for art, sciences, lesson planning, developmental growth, etc. I have recently had a wellness physical and a criminal background check along with fingerprints. I have a resume references as well. I am honest, trustworthy, dependable, patient (just think of my current job-preschool photographer!), caring and understanding and ready for anything that is thrown my way.
