I have many qualifications for providing care for others. I've worked in healthcare, childcare, as well as volunteering with special needs children during high school. Past experiences include working as a Certified Nursing assistant (CNA) providing essential daily care for elderly in a nursing home environment as well as their homes. I was CPR and First Aide certified however I have since let my license expire (if it is a requirement I will gladly have them updated) During high school I donated my "free periods" to work with children with special needs. Where we did basic school work such as reading and writing. Also participated in physical activities such as P.E. As a nanny I started as a babysitter. Shortly after the mother had asked me to become a live in nanny. She was a single mother working and going to school full time. I dedicated almost 5 years with Read more her children. I provided care for 2 boys and 1 girl. The girl was the oldest when I started (age 7). I prepared all their meals, cleaned the home, did laundry, and also assisted the oldest with her school work. While taking care of this family we made it a point to keep the kids active and healthy. Very rarely did we sit and watch T.V. we usually played outside or if the weather was bad we would play inside. I would also teach the kids the importance of keeping a clean house. So when I would do chores they would help me. I believe helping others and providing care is a passion of mine because I want to make a difference it people's lives. I want to help make people happy and put out as much positivity into this world as possible.
