My name is Shanna Welch and I was recently attending the School of the Arts for bassoon performance. I have been a lifeguard for the past 4 years, and a camp counselor for the last 3 summers. I have also been a resident assistant/ resident manager at the School of the Arts for 2 years now. I babysit my professors elementary aged children frequently, and take them to and from school to after school activities, so that is something that I comfortable doing. At my summer camp this past summer, French Woods Performing Arts Festival, I lived in a cabin with fourteen 12 year old girls for 3 months, taking them to and from activities and meals, taking them to the medical center when needed, and keeping them entertained and safe while at camp. I also regularly lifeguarded the camp pool when needed. I've been a lifeguard for the past Read more four years and am fully qualified with Red Cross CPR/ AED/ First aid and have guarded many summer camp swim groups of young children, ages 4 and up, to adult swim classes. I am also fully qualified to teach child swim lessons, and have 4 years of experience doing so.
