I currently work as the Assistant Group Leader of an Afterschool Program at Weekday Education during the summer and when I am at home for school breaks (I am a junior at UNC-Chapel Hill studying political science and history with a minor in education). I spent all last summer, between 30-40 hours per week, working with children aged 5-10 and I love spending time with children. I volunteer through the Autism Society of NC-UNC Chapter to spend more time with children and I volunteered once a week last semester at the Teen Scene Street Center helping middle-schoolers with their homework. I love working with children and work with VBS at my church. I recently completed two hours of Recognizing and Responding to Suspicions of Child Maltreatment Training and twenty-four clock hours for completion of Healthy and Safety Training for North Carolina Early Care and Education Professionals through my current employment.
