I am retired from two careers and lots of experience. I am both an RN and an ordained minister. Among the places I worked as a nurse was in pediatrics and I was the charge nurse of a newborn unit. I continue to be active in ministry, preaching on Sundays in churches whose pastors are away. Though I do not currently have a CPR certificate, I was a instructor at one time. I also taught infant care to new mothers and was involved in outpatient care of children of all ages. Children seem to like me, and as a pastor I have had my knees hugged many times when the families leave worship on Sunday. At one time I was active duty in the navy and served for ten years as a nurse. I have traveled greatly both in Europe and to a lesser extent in Asia and Africa. I Read more find the cultures of the different countries I traveled in very fascinating. Maybe because my mother was German I found living in Germany to be like home. I have many hobbies among which reading and hand crafts are favorites. I like to share the craft activities with kids and we make fun things together.
