The oldest of five homeschooled siblings, caring for children is deep-rooted in me. Babysitting a family friend's children was my first paid job (at age 12!) and through my teenage years, I babysat several neighbors' children and worked in the children's care at my church. Since graduating college with my journalism degree, I've worked in environmental fields as a farmer, trail builder, wildland firefighter, and organic baker. Now, at 26, I am returning to school to become an herbalist and nurse practitioner, with a focus in women's heath. I am passionate about empowering people to reclaim their wellness through outdoor play and plants, and I especially love participating in this with kids. Their fresh insight, energy, and imagination is magical. I am a certified Wilderness First Responder, which encompasses extensive first aid and CPR. I look forward to meeting you and your family!
